She began her real estate career in 1985 and has established a solid reputation for high caliber service. Active in all aspects of real estate including sales, development, new construction and investment, Betty Ray has held licenses in Florida, Georgia, Illinois, North Carolina and Virginia. She promoted building developments for several individual builders in both Georgia, where she opened Weston Real Estate and in Virginia. Named Realtor of the Year in Virginia, she continually ranked in the top ten for the Northeast region of the US while working with Harbor Group Realty. Betty Ray has received numerous professional awards to include consistent multimillion dollar sales, listed among the top ten agents for her area, state and region, Realtor of the year, the International President's Circle Award and the prestigious International President's Elite Award (awarded to the top 1% nationwide). She is an active member of the National Association of Realtors, the Florida Association of Realtors, and the Realtors Association of Franklin and Southern Gulf Counties. A member of the Realtors Association of Franklin and Southern Gulf County Board of Directors, she has also served on several committees of the local board and is a member of the Gulf County Chamber of Commerce.
She and her husband, retired Army Colonel Charlie Weston (City Manager of Port St. Joe) have owned property on Cape San Blas since 1997 and are members of Trinity Episcopal Church in Apalachicola where Betty Ray serves as Senior Warden of the Vestry.
